"Peaches" Original Watercolor Painting

My goal for this painting was to make it so realistic that you could just taste a sun-ripened peach. That juicy and sweet taste is something that you can only get from a local peach tree where the peaches were allowed to ripen in the sun until they’re ready to be eaten. Store bought peaches just don’t taste the same. The highlights on each individual leaf and the shadows of the leaves across the peaches is what tells your brain that there is a very strong sun (even when there is no painted background).
This original watercolor painting is featured in the book, “Just One Comfrey”, a Counting book by Wisconsin Food Forests. The book is scheduled to be released July, 2025. It features edible plants that grow well in Wisconsin’s climate. Some are edible for human consumption, while others are edible only for critters and birds that call Wisconsin home.
This original watercolor painting was painting using Daniel Smith watercolors on Arches cold-pressed paper. Using professional supplies means your painting will stay brilliant and colorful for years. It also comes signed, with a Certificate of Authenticity. It is matted and framed. (wooden frame with a linen double mat, glass, with hanging wire for easy hanging).
