About the event

It's time to make some art together!
This class is designed for an adult 18+ to paint with their child/grandchild/niece/nephew. Your ticket price will include two spots- one for you and one for your child. In this 2 hour class for all levels, you’ll explore using a fun, new technique for painting wooden texture. We’ll also look at painting a simple sky and some background trees. 4 Day Watercolor Retreat: Opening the Door to Watercolors

Spend the weekend exploring the beauty of watercolor in a relaxed, welcoming setting—no drawing skills required. Flower Bookmarks at the PBS WI Garden Expo
Learn some basic watercolor techniques as you paint your own floral bookmark using watercolors. Emily Marie will guide you step by step in painting 2-3 bookmarks each. See how fun painting your garden can be!

Cozy Fall Watercolor Class at Tricky Foods
Paint night at Tricky Foods!
During this 2 hour class, you will learn how to paint a cozy fall scene using wet on wet and wet on dry techniques. This class is perfect for beginners- instructor Emily will lead you step-by-step through the whole process. Plus, there is no drawing involved since the outline is printed onto your watercolor paper! You will leave the class with an 8×10 inch completed painting.

Spooky Scenes on Aquabord and Cradleboard
In this two week workshop, you will explore how watercolors react to different surfaces. We'll start the workshop by learning how to mount watercolor paper to wooden cradleboards. Then, we'll paint a full moon scene using watercolors on Aquabord. Aquabord is a textured clay surface on a hard board. Watercolor artists love Aquabord for its ability to endlessly lift color, fix mistakes, and layer to your heart's content! You'll be able to compare the differences in dry times, lifting, and layering between the two surfaces. Which surface will be your favorite?
When: Thursdays, October 16 and Wednesday, October 23, 6-8 pm

Waterfall Basics in Watercolors
Learn techniques and tips for painting waterfalls using watercolors, including discussion of the anatomy of a waterfall. You will also learn techniques to paint rocks as well. All supplies included. Beginners welcome, but some watercolor experience will be helpful.

Breast Cancer Foundation Fundraiser: Pumpkins Watercolor Class
Learn how to paint using watercolors all while donating to a great cause!
In this class, 100% of your class fees go directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit organization which has raises money to support clinical and translational research on breast cancer at medical institutions in the United States and abroad. BCRF currently funds over 255 researchers in 14 countries.
In December of 2022, my mom passed away from metastatic breast cancer. BCRF helps to fund research to find new and better treatment options for metastatic breast cancer. My mom started painting with me after she was diagnosed and enjoyed how calming it was.

Project: Pumpkins: My mom's favorite season was fall. She loved walking through freshly fallen leaves and going to the pumpkin patch. We’ll paint this pumpkin scene in her memory and reflect on our own family memories of fall.

River Rocks in Watercolors
In this 2 hour class, you will learn the basics of watercolors including wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, negative painting, splatter, and using plastic wrap. You will use professional quality supplies to paint an 8x10 inch painting (all supplies included). This class is perfect for beginners or for anyone looking to relax while painting with watercolors. No drawing skills required.
