"Horseradish" Original Watercolor Painting

I painted these two horseradish plants in containers since they are a plant that is known to spread in an open garden setting. I masked the veins of the leaves first and then painted a few different layers of green. I used a dry brush technique to paint the background and to give it a texture that contrasts with the smooth leaves.
This original watercolor painting is featured in the book, “Just One Comfrey”, a Counting book by Wisconsin Food Forests. The book is scheduled to be released July, 2025.
