This print comes from the “Naptime Orchids” Series that I painted in 2024. I painted various orchids from reference photos I took from Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, WI. All of the colorful splashes I paint first- in a way it allows me to get all my nervousness out before I proceed with the details of the flowers.
